Description
The main goal was to create a graphic solution able to represent the multiplicity of films exhibited by the festival as well as the event's wide audience appeal, through an icon that related directly to the cinema universe.
Execution
The identity portrays the immense number of movies exhibited and the event's wide audience appeal, through an infinite collection of piled movie stubs — one of the most popular/democratic icons from the film universe. Creating a flexible visual system which adapts across different formats, sizes and medias, as well as the information communicated — for example, the festival's edition number, can be constructed/deconstructed according to necessity.
Outcome
The event's attendance was very positive, and according to the event staff, the identity was very well received, creating a impactful and inviting image which raised people's curiosity.
