Execution

Firstly, Crowd Lu released an avatar of himself on the no. 1 global mobile avatar community, LINE PLAY, and created his own digital space that was presented to the virtual world. Using these, he communicated with avatars in that world, and made his presence known to a new group of fans. While doing so, he also recorded videos of his activities in the virtual world and made it into a music video that portrayed him moving freely between the real and virtual worlds.

Outcome

As a result of these activities, Crowd Lu gained a significant number of fans in the virtual world in addition to his real-life fans. His music video featuring his activities in the virtual world was a great hit in the real world too, and his avatar now has over 200,000 friends and 1.6 million Likes. These records are being refreshed every day, and his virtual world music video now has over 500,000 views, far exceeding the 140,000 views for the existing video for the same song. (As of March 31)
