Description

The creative idea was to make a film that addresses problems such as racism, homophobia, male chauvinism, xenophobia, and it explains that when a person abstains, he/she is allowing people who vote for radical populist politicians to decide for us.

Execution

We have created a TV film which was broadcasted on the Portuguese public TV (RTP) for a week. This film was a success in Portugal, but suddenly it also became an immense success in France.

Just three days after the French elections that led the far-right candidate, Marine Le Pen, to the second round of the elections, the television program "Culture Pub" decided to subtitle our film in French and share it on the social networks.

Outcome

Results in Portugal:

- News in all the main information media.

- A report on the most watched evening news program.

- News in several international newspapers.

- €0 of Media investment.

- + €2 Million on Spontaneous media.

Results in France

- Only one Facebook post.

- € 0 of Media investment.

- +1.2 million views on Facebook alone.

- +25,000 shares of the Facebook post.

- These results just in France.

- This campaign has become an icon of the French people’s fight against extremism.
