Crafted by our Shanghai based VFX artist team, we ‘created a better version of tomorrow’ with giant swirling candy floss, floating dandelions, and cities overgrown with luscious foxglove flowers.

This film is packed with a combination of live-action integrated with matte paintings and full CG which is one of biggest challenges that a VFX team can face in keeping it photo-real and believable.

There’s not one shot that does not have an extensive CG treatment using artistic and technical flair across range of different software from Houdini to Nuke, from After Effects to Substance Painter and Unreal Engine.

Extensive time was spent on developing a procedural dandelion system using an age attribute that visualized different stages of the flower’s life cycle, from budding to seed release, plus the perfect interaction of the refinery scene with CG components.

The shots became like a puzzle that required flawless compositing and rotoscoping.
