Description

Our solution was to produce a mailer that tapped into client's dissatisfaction with traditional advertising agencies and the long held perception that most advertising agencies fail to understand their client, their client's business or even their client's commercial needs. The mailer therefore gave the client the opportunity to take out these frustrations on a porcelain figurine of a sterotypical account man.The mailer included an instruction sheet that not only illustrated the many different reasons why they should destroy this account man, but also showed many entertaining ways inwhich they could do it.

Outcome

A CD ROM was also provided on the instruction sheet. This contained three case studies, illustrating how Ogilvy & Mather's innovative 360 Brand Stewardship has helped solve other client's business problems. The mailer provided great standout and subsequently generated an excellent response among our target audience. So far this mailer has resulted in numerous new business leads and several important pitch opportunities.
