Execution
Thinking of Pinocchio, the first thing that comes to mind is his wooden nose that starts to grow every time he lies. For many decades parents as well as children have equally been excited by the nose of our little marionette. We needed to play with that powerful fascination. Wait - isn’t a toothpick very similar in form to Pinocchio’s famous nose? Therefore, we printed Pinocchio’s face on the packaging of a toothpick in a way that as one pushes the toothpick out of its paper, it looks as if Pinocchio’s nose is growing.
Outcome
Even though the event was very limited in terms of its scale, the results were fascinating:- 2,144 food particles removed.- 1,879 smiling faces.- 2 people were actually rolling on the floor laughing.- 77 people remembered, that lying never pays off.- 5,230 people reminisced on their childhood memories.
