Art of Speed on NIKELab.com houses 15 contemporary artists’ renderings of speed. Picking up on the past spaceship-inspired theme of NIKELab, visitors were greeted with an interactive trailer, a montage of the 15 speed-inspired films. To mimic an online planetarium or theatre, the artists’ films were showcased on 15 floating movie screens that included details about the artist and their piece. In order to transcend cultural and language barriers for its global audience, copy was minimised, but when it was used, such as in the trailer, it became a design element that incorporated six different languages.
