Background
PRISM+ is one of Singapore’s fastest growing home entertainment brands. Its QLED TV and sound systems offer a high-definition, highly-immersive entertainment experience; one that draws you into the scene, quite literally.
While prominent brands often rely on stunning visual spectacles to showcase the capabilities of their entertainment systems, PRISM+ chooses to set itself apart as a fresh upstart through a memorable, albeit unconventional, product demonstration with a simple message, ‘As Close as You Can Get’.
Execution
From the get-go, the casting process was laser-focused in ensuring that every character was relatable and authentic to the film and everyday viewers, while deliberately looking create curious combinations of the familiar and surprising.
The almost-familiar Martha Stewart-esque cooking host was the perfect foil for the unexpected choice of the man; it'd have been too predictable to cast someone who looked like a nice, plump turkey to play the man, hence we found someone who was (in the words of the director) "bird-like" with the necessary performance chops: measured, subdued and yet able to go from 0 to 100 in a matter of frames.
Outcome
PRISM+ registered an 11% increase in TV sales in the month following the film's launch, a 22% increase in positive sentiments towards the brand and over 6.5 million reached via international media coverage – all of this with zero additional paid media amplification.
