Description
To overcome this barrier in the automotive sector, we decided to offer the ADAM on the largest online store - Amazon! Since the focus here is on millennials, the TV show’s new season was the perfect opportunity to integrate the Amazon pilot project. A special "Germany's Next Topmodel" car model was launched specifically for the campaign, which was distributed exclusively via Amazon. Our target group loves to shop while watching the show on TV. That’s why we decided to sell the Opel ADAM on Amazon – for the first time ever in Germany.
Execution
We created a unique Custom Landing Page, where users could explore the product and its features as well lease the Opel ADAM for only € 99 a month. Here they could choose the color of the car, the engine and also the leasing rate. A multichannel campaign led the users to Amazon. This included online banners, Facebook ads and even an additional campaign microsite. For the first time ever in Germany, a car was sold on Amazon.
Outcome
In just 8 weeks we generated more than 132 million media impressions. Over 350 thousand users visited our site with a scroll-through rate of 97%, making it the best performing Custom Landing Page on Amazon. Ever. Worldwide.
Over 3600 users added the Opel ADAM to their shopping cart, and 70 cars were sold. And we’re still counting because the Landing Page is still live.
