Background
The baby formula brand FRISO found that most of new Moms have no idea about their baby’s bowel movements
Because there is only 1 pediatrician for every 1587 Moms and children in China,
it becomes very difficult for Moms to see a pediatrician.
Friso cares beyond your infants’ food intake and wants to journey with you in your everyday concerns.
Idea
Friso has collaborated with Baidu AI Labs and uses medical data to classify baby poop into 6 categories by its color, volume and shape. Friso launched the the mini-app Beautiful Shit on Baidu to help moms to know the babies’ health through using poop AI analysis.
Strategy
New mothers are very concerned and tend to be nervous about everything relating to their babies' health. Among other things, babies’ poop can reflect their eating pattern, digestive function, intestinal condition, and other health issues. This is, therefore, one of the bases for mothers to determine the health status of their babies. Through Baidu's big data, it was found that the demand for baby poop-related searches by parents has increased rapidly inrecent years, with the volume of poop-related searches reaching 20W+ per month. Among the searches by parents,poop has the most questions related to formula diet, and is closely related to the choice of formula brands.
Execution
When searching baby poop releted on baidu or get into Friso Brand Zone on Baidu, each new mom in china can get the friso mini-app
With just a quick scan by the mini-app , Moms can easily determine the health of their baby’s stool by AI analysis quickly alleviating their worry.
And if there is an issue with Baby’s stool, the app provides a speedy notification.,moms can contact local pediatricians directly through the app,
Moms also can get online consultations and even make hospital appointments by the mini app.
Outcome
In just 20 days since launching,the mini-app has reached a total exposure of 52.2 million ,1.25 million person-time mini-app interaction,target achievement rate 125%.
Beautiful Shit effectively solves baby-poop issues and Friso creates a deeper connection with consumers.
