WE ARE AT THE CROWDED STREET. WE SEE CARS DRIVING SLOWLY. THEY ARE DRIVING SO SLOWLY WE ARE ABLE TO NOTICE WHAT’S GOING ON INSIDE THE CARS: WE SEE A WOMAN PERFECTLY DRESSED WHO IS CHECKING HER MAKE UP IN THE MIRROR, IN THE OTHER CAR WE SEE TWO MEN, IN ANOTHER CAR MIDDLE AGED COUPLE – THEY ALL SWAY TO THE MUSIC.

ALL THE DRIVERS ARE NOT SURPRISED THAT ONE OF THE DRIVERS IS A BIG DEER DRIVING A PICK-UP. NOBODY SEE ANYTHING SURPRISING IN THE FACT THAT ON THE ROOF OF THE PICK-UP THERE IS A TIGHTEN-UP HUNTER.

VO: NOTHING SURPRISES THOSE WHO SAW LOW PRICES AT BIEDRONKA.

We were looking for different approach of animation process than standard handmade animation. For The movie Bear and Deer we go for a motion capture session. After session capture data was converted, cleaned up and prepared for handmade tweaking. Simultaneously, we were working on fur setup and fur shader to achieve realistic look of the animals. Of course we couldn't do a motion capture for an Ostrich so this one was animated all by hand. The hardest part of this project was to create realistic feathers for the Ostrich.
