During these 50 years of history, Big Mac has always had a great partner: Coca-Cola. This is the reason why we created a tribute that celebrates this anniversary and shows the strength of this partnership: we placed the iconic colors of the Big Mac on the world’s most iconic can, with a design that incorporates the brands in a unique and surprising manner.
Execution
To divulge this action, we counted on those who have always been by Big Mac’s side: lovers of the sandwich, influencers and celebrities connected to the brand. We sent them a Big Mac Can inside a similar packaging for the Big Mac. Inside this box, there was a message talking about the sandwich’s 50th anniversary. They shared posts and stories on their social networks, impacting followers with the tribute.
Outcome
On the week of the launching of the Big Mac Can alone, the story was featured in dozens of trade publications and also in general interest articles. The can was sent to brand ambassadors and fans of the brand who published on their social networks. We also sent a can to Don Gorske, recognizably Big Mac’s biggest fan in the world. The brand has received requests to replicate the limited edition cans in other countries.
