Execution

We needed to build something new people could play with that's never been done before, Blurtl - audio status updates for Facebook. Blurtl lets you post 30 second recordings of your voice to Facebook, anywhere, anytime, through your mobile phone. No smartphone required.

Outcome

In the first 4 weeks of launching we had over 20,000 active users. As a result Blurtl was then preloaded onto 178,000 handsets as a software update in May and is now a permanent service available to all 3.5 million customers.Not only did we create a first on Facebook, we created a new way for the youth of today to express themselves on a platform that delivers our message through their social networks.
