Description
Placar is a traditional football magazine. We wanted to bring a new generation of football fans to them. But how to celebrate its 45th edition after the tragedy of World Cup 2014? We merged on and offline together. Print and mobile. Putting in the fan’s hands the best of Brazilian football: the history of its stars and its conquests.
Execution
First, we ran an extensive research at the largest archive of national football: Placar Magazine. Then, we crafted illustrations based on remarkable moments of our biggest stars. Every play was accurately reproduced: body movements, placement of the ball and the opponents’ positions.And the illustration, came out from the paper. A smartphone app turned each of them into a virtual card. An activation to remind Brazilians that, in spite of all, we’re still the country of football.
Outcome
350.000+ football fans impacted, 600.000+ magazine copies throughout the country.
