OVERVIEW

Description

Bonifacio Ilagan, a survivor of the Martial Law years in the Philippines, recounts the disappearance of her sister, Rizalina, a 23-year-old student writer of a publication that spoke up against then dictator Ferdinand Marcos. He tells the story of how she was abducted together with her colleagues, two of whom were found dead. He never saw her sister again.

He ends by saying how World Press Freedom Day should serve as a reminder to millennials to never take for granted the freedom that they enjoy now.
