Execution

"Born to Lend a Hand" was targeted at US Hispanic truck lovers and intenders—family and community-focused men and women who use their trucks to overcome anything life throws at them. In casting the Tundra drivers, we looked for characters that felt natural in their environment and gave personality to the scene. However, the Tundra was born to help others, which allowed us to include other ethnic groups, such as African Americans and White Americans, creating a bond of trust and friendship between people with different backgrounds. Additionally, we did a rigorous casting of hands to find the ones that could describe a situation in short scenes without showing the whole body or action. The conjunction of all these casting requirements was key to bringing emotional depth to the spot and a strong connection with the audience.
