Description

A cinematic moment from the classic Luigi Pirandello play “Come Tu Mi Vuoi”. A dramatic lovers’ tiff is raging, the couple pace around gesticulating and passionately arguing in Italian. Their exchange is subtitled in English. But we are slowly exposed to the tongue-in-cheek humor as we come to realize that the subtitles do not reflect the real dialogue but instead have the couple cursing ‘Harvey Nichols’ for pilfering all of their finest luxury goods – the Valentino dresses, the Armani lipstick and even the Durante artisan pasta. The scene is ended by the line “We’ve taken the best of Italy” as series of designer items flash across the screen. It is in celebration of ‘Britalia’ at Harvey Nichols – a seasonal showcase of the best of Italy.
