Description

Land Rover Spain has a dealer extranet which works as a communication channel, making accessible for dealers the main Ford documentation. One of these applications is Gear. It has a functionality that is an added value for dealers. Gear is a microsite that simulates an e-commerce site, where dealers can select the products they want to buy from Land Rover. It has also been thought to be a final client tool, since dealers have access to dealer prices and also final client prices of the different products. Once the products are selected and the “purchase” is finished, as it is not a real e-store, an e-mail is sent to the contact person at the central offices for the administration and billing control and another e-mail is sent to the warehouse at Great Britain.

The site has an introduction and then in the upper navigation bar, the user can choose from general conditions, guidebook for size, products and orders (divided into five categories), get in contact (where an e-mail can be written) and then shopping trolley.
