SITGES – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia is the number one fantasy film festival in the world, both for its seniority and for its media and industrial impact. The Sitges Film Festival is also a festival qualified by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood for the Oscar® Awards; so that the winning short films in the fiction and animation sections are automatically pre-selected.

Every year, the festival pays tribute to a film that has left a mark on the genre, taking advantage of its anniversary.

The 56th edition of SITGES - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia brought great news if we merely referred to numbers.

In the two days of pre-sale and regular sale, a total of 49,196 tickets were sold.

During the 24-hour pre-sale period (accessible only to pack and subscription buyers), a total of 34,392 tickets were redeemed and/or sold.

During the first day of open sale, an additional 14,804 tickets were added.

Therefore, between September 20th and 21st, the total reached 49,196, an increase of more than 10,000 tickets compared to last year.
