WaterAid are committed to providing fresh water to people in developing countries. The challenge was to do some inexpensive, but high impact work for this client. We wondered how people in the first world would react if they had to drink the kind of contaminated water that people are forced to drink in places like Bangladesh. So we invented a product called “Blackwater Springs” (bottled water) – a blend of waters from ecosystems in the sub-continent. We produced a TVC in which we erected a stall in a shopping centre and offered shoppers a free sample (much to their shock).
