Description

The ‘Comedy Theatre on the Nes’ will open its doors in April 2007. To give the general public advance warning of the opening, we launched a campaign, using the Theatre’s construction works as the starting point. Everything is “Under Construction”: the Theatre, the shows, the agenda, the identity - nothing is ready yet.

Execution

First we started with a series of posters containing jokes that were still “Under Construction”. We also spread incomplete programs all over the city.And in different virals, comedians could be seen thinking up new jokes. On the “Under Construction” website it was possible to follow the construction works via the webcam. In the second phase, more posters indicated in which month the comedians would be appearing, but the specific dates were not mentioned. And other posters demonstrated our logo-exercises. In the last phase, the website’s guest book was used to spread a rumour about an “Under Construction” show.
