Description
We created the first connected Foosball table, in which fans could connect to the game and influence its outcome.
Execution
In a process that took over 4 months, we designed and created the first connected Foosball table. Fully digital and interactive, its basic functionality was just like a regular foosball table.
But this is where the fun began. We added “takeovers”, which were different arcade modes that fans could trigger while watching a live game. Each takeover influenced the game or helped a side. For example, you could remove players from one team, double the speed, add 3 balls and even electrify the ball. To launch the project, we did a beta testing event in which 4 players of the French football team played against each other.
Outcome
The beta test garnered a lot of online hype, but the official results are going to come later, as the table will be officially appearing during the UEFA 2017 Women’s Euro Tournament and the FIFA 2018 World cup in Russia.
