Description
Tweet by tweet we searched those that made the most offensive comments about the National Police and invited them to be part of a special challenge : to be a cop for a day. The experience was lived by 50 twitter users, that by the end of the challenge shared in social media what it means to be a Policeman for one day.
Execution
For several days, we run a social listening for the name National Police of Colombia. After gathering hundreds of tweets, we chose the persons and characters that had a powerful influence on their social networks. When they lived the experience of being a cop themselves, they started a whole new different conversation with their followers.
Outcome
Negative comments about The National Police of Colombia, went from 26% to 13% , and positive comments went from 11% to 19% after Lorena and other 49 twitter users shared their experiences in their social media of becoming “Cop for a Day”.
Changing a perception cannot be done in a day because, who of you really love your local Cops?
