OVERVIEW

Description

The National Police of Colombia regularly creates campaigns for citizens to be careful and help us reduce criminality indexes. But in average, the numbers were always the same.

Until 2014.

If citizens listened to messages delivered by us, maybe they´d believe in messages given by criminals themselves.

That´s how The Anti Robbery Course By Thieves was born: 10 different stealing and blackmailing strategies recorded and explained by 10 convicts in one of the most important jails of the country.

Entering www.cursorapidoantirobo.gov.co or in the app, people could experience stories narrated by convicts and receive advise on how to react and what to do to prevent them.

More than 376,179 persons took the course. The National Police´s website received one hundred thousand more visits that sites like MSN Latam.

The Anti Robbery Expert App was downloaded more that 16,000 times, becoming one the most downloaded apps of the Country all over December.

In 2015, it was elected as the Grand Effie in Colombia.

But the most important result of all: December 2014 was the safest Christmas in decades, with a 24% fall in the number of robberies compared to past years in the whole country.

The Anti Robbery Course By Thieves:. We can all help to bring down criminality. Even the criminals.
