Here’s a little story

about a farmer who heard

that to make a living

he had to force feed his herd.

His chickens and his cows

needing to grow with ease

had no choice but, to browse,

devour grass and trees.

Their evil appetite

drove the beasts in the end

to eat in a single bite

the farmer and his land

The tragic conclusion

we should all keep in mind

is deforestation

is a threat to mankind
