The film is about an old man who misses his deceased wife terribly. The loss is further heightened when he reads about the auction of a painting that was gifted to the couple by his father in law on their wedding. The painting had to be sold off during hard times. Of course, it still bites the old man that he couldn’t secure his family financially and had to lose the painting. That piece of news leads him in search of a photograph that was shot at the unveiling of the painting. In the meantime, his son goes missing and it seems he has taken their old relic of a car,  a sign of a flourishing past.

The son returns with the painting having won the auction. The painting is hung at the same place it used to adorn in the house. It is a surprise to the old man.

Each character in the film has been essayed by a debutant actor. We chose people who had a past that was similar to that of the character they were playing. We did actor workshops to identify the right ones. Once the cast was chosen, a three-day workshop ensured they were seeped into the character they were portraying. The father hails from a rich family that lost all of its wealth by mismanaging their finance. The man still lives in a in a world of hallucinating royalty. The daughter in law is a struggling singer who is also a mother. The cook has been a support staff in a politician’s bungalow for more than two decades.
