Ishwar's research over the past few years showed that the biggest problem against domestic violence is that most women choose to cover up the signs of abuse instead of reporting them.To help highlight the issue, we designed a first aid box that is a makeup kit from inside.Message inside: Covering up domestic violence doesn’t remove it.Apart from the help-line numbers, the box also provided information on the 3 Step Intervention Programme:Report: Calling Ishwar if anyone is aware or is a victim.Contact: Followed by initial counselling of the victim. Making her aware of her legal rights and offering aid and protection.Action: Follow up by expert legal advisors and support groups.

Outcome

Apart from increase in awareness on such a sensitive subject, Ishwar saw a 15% increase in enquiries. A small but significant change. In fact this pilot project is now being replicated in other metropolitan cities across India.
