Background

Electric vehicles are becoming more viable options each day for anyone who wants to switch from combustion engines. As different brands tackle the market and governments give incentives, such as tax exemptions, consumers perceive more value in electric vehicles each day.

Although, electric trucks are still unknown for most of the public. Especially as there is only one major brand offering an electric truck in Brazil: Volkswagen.

So, we decided to launch the eDelivery truck with an impactful print campaign that would make our brand would be easily identifiable in the segment and incite curiosity on our consumer base about the new model.

Outcome

During the campaign week, our website saw a raise of 12% in traffic, mostly leading to the eDelivery page. Of our truck consumer base, more than 90% of them consider Volkswagen as the first brand having an electric truck option available in the country.

Finally, the campaign established a clear connection of the Volkswagen brand with electric trucks, increasing awareness and new leads for potential buyers.
