OVERVIEW

Description

‘Veni, Vidi, Vici’ is a wellknown Latin phrase used by Roman general Julius Caesar in 47 before Christ. It means ‘I came, I saw and I triumphed’. By deleting the ‘vidi/I saw’ we declare that victory can still be achieved, even when you have no vision, no eyesight. The ‘vidi’ is invisible, but that doesn’t mean you can’t triumph.Venivici.be is created as an art platform to show the work of blind people in Sint-Rafaël, a Belgian educational centre for visually handicapped people. Sint-Rafaël wanted to create awareness for the talent these people have. They can use their talents and function perfectly in this working society. It is not because you are blind, that you can't work and reach your personal and professional goals.

The artwork you find on the website is entirely created by the blind and visually handicapped people of Sint-Rafaël. If you hurry, you can still buy one of the paintings, sculptures or other eye-cons shown on the website.Thank you for supporting Sint-Rafaël and visiting the website.
