Description
We found that although people usually forget their reading glasses, they rarely forget their smartphone. This inspired us to design the Emergency Lens Case which combine a pair of glasses into smartphone case, enabling them to use immediately just by detaching the case from the phone. There are three prescription numbers (+1.5, +2 and +2.5), available for iphone7plus and Samsung Note5 (most used phone in Thailand).
Execution
The company holds up to 75% of optical sales market share. The product was sold in 1,758 stores across Thailand and become one of the brands up trending item.
Outcome
The Emergency Lens Case simply integrated into people’s daily life, any time they forgot their reading glasses, they still have an emergency version that also reminds them of Top Charoen Optical brand. The product was sold in 1,758 stores across Thailand and become one of the brands up trending item. The success was not only of the trending emergency case but the brand successfully gained a new brand image and created a buzz among Thais.
