Description
Annual report represent an important medium for communicating a company's operational and financial performance to its shareholders, customers and employees as well as to the communities in which it does business. By supplementing its standard annual report, E.ON aimed to tap a larger potential audience for its corporate communications. E.ON's 2000 multimedia report adopts design elements from the printed Annual Report. But it also adds sound, animation, and interactivity to the design mix. Its multimedia character enables it to present hard facts in a rapid and entertaining manner. E.ON positions itself in the marketplace as an innovative energy service provider. Its corporate images are emotional (but not saccharine) and contemporary (but not trendy). They offer a forward-looking vision of energy use. E.ON's multimedia report attempts to take a forward-looking approach to the presentation of information. Its main feature is a infinite, three-dimensional space that presents information on various levels. Users access information via a reading tool. The soundtrack features music from E.ON's TV ads.
