Santa Claus is not the only one working on Christmas Eve. To pay a tribute to everyone that needs to work during Christmas night, we put together an anticipated Christmas party for a firefighter that would have to work on December 24th. The family picture at the party not only helped him feel close to his family during Christmas, but also reminded everyone of the power and importance of having great photos of our greatest family moments.
Execution
To help the audience realize that and to boost DSLR sales, Canon Brasil told a real story: Santa Claus is not the only one working on Christmas Eve. To pay a tribute to everyone that needs to work during Christmas night, we put together an anticipated Christmas party for a firefighter that would have to work on December 24th. The family picture at the party not only helped him feel close to his family during Christmas, but also reminded everyone of the power and importance of having great photos of our greatest family moments.
The video led o the campaign’s site, where people could learn more about the stories of those who had to spend Christmas away from their family.
Outcome
The campaign helped to double the KPI for the website: 5k/day to 10k/day. YouTube achieved 1.771.500 views in 3 weeks and drove 210k visitors to the promotions website.
