Description

Who knows money better than well-heeled investors? How it looks. How it

feels. How to make it work harder. To welcome E*TRADE Platinum Members into the fold, and help them capture their great ideas, we created an investment diary crafted entirely from materials used to make the world’s great currencies. That’s right, a book made from “money.”

For E*TRADE’s highest value customers, it is an unforgettable welcome, and kicks off a stream of direct communications that make platinum members feel—well—platinum. For the financial services industry, the work raises the bar, advancing premium communications from the usual high-end folder to a visceral experience exemplifying the brilliance of the most successful investors and what it truly means to be Platinum.

Execution

The kit arrives in a foil pressed black box, specially chosen for it's richness, and establishing the premium nature of the mailing. Once opened, a video within the box welcomes recipients to Platinum, comparing the craft and care that went into the making of the kit to the level of service they will receive. There is also a letter and brochure from their personal Relationship Manager.

Inside the box lies a gift worthy of the most successful investor. A special investment diary crafted from the same materials used in money. The cover is made from etched aluminum used in the 1-Yen coin. Individual chapters are comprised of 50% cotton and 50% linen paper similar to the US Dollar, a 100% cotton paper on which the Euro, Pound Note and Yen are printed, and the durable polymer used in the Australian Dollar. Monetary-themed illustrations and inspirations appear throughout.

Outcome

Initial results indicate improved awareness of E*TRADE Platinum Group and increased contact with E*TRADE Relationship Managers.
