Description

“Everywhere” follows a single AT&T customer through the city as the entertainment he’s enjoying on his phone is brought to life around him through music and action. It’s a grand metaphor that captures how a typical day in the life is made atypical and magical with the entertainment that comes with AT&T. Leveraging cameos and references to classic and current TV shows and movies, we set out to make a pop-culture statement as big and entertaining as what AT&T can now offer– your entertainment, the way you want it, everywhere you go.

Execution

Although most scenes required some level of visual effects, a few stood out.  The Game of Thrones bus sequence had us shooting multiple plates of the costumed actors, birds, and a wolf all on a rigged bus that we could drive around for proper interactive lighting.  We also added CG falling snow, and frost elements that were tracked onto the windows. 

 

The final sequence of the spot gave us the opportunity to recreate two classic film characters.  The DeLorean from Back to the Future was carefully reconstructed in CG, allowing us to develop an electrically charged transition from our cab to the iconic vehicle as it takes off from the ground.  Once airborne, the DeLorean meets with the Ghostbuster's Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, which was also rebuilt as a full CG asset.  Everything was then carefully composited back into our plates which were augmented with digital matte paintings.
