Description

Nothing brings out passion quite like sports. They can bring us to tears of joy and tears of sorrow. They can lift us up, and they can crush our spirits. In short, fans really, really care about sports. And they want the world to know about it. So we created a tool that allows fans to express their sports passion to the fullest – FanMojis, the first emoji keyboard created specifically for sports. Now fans have a new way to talk smack and own the second-screen conversations they’re already having.

Execution

Offered for free at the Mac App Store and Google Play, the FanMoji App is a custom-designed emoji keyboard exclusively dedicated to the emotions of sports. To promote the app, we created simple stories from the FanMojis themselves and shared them on social media. Twitter added to the experience by creating their own FanMoji activated with #LetsGoFans. Further promotion included ESPN’s Sports Nation’s use of FanMojis to review the week’s NFL action. NFL stars and analysts even helped get the word out by promoting and usingFanMojis on their social channels.

Outcome

There have been over 50,000 downloads of the app and over 1,000,000 FanMojis shared, and counting.
