Description
The goal of this project was to develop a web presence for the new Tecmo Inc. Playstation2 game Fatal Frame Two. A news and information clearinghouse was needed to keep fans informed on the progress of the game, through the development and after the launch of the game, as well as to market the game in the interactive realm. A design approach was taken to extend the eerie atmosphere of the game itself onto the web. Packaging, Advertising and PR (complete with a Haunted House-themed press conference) were all tightly integrated to keep the distinctive style of the game at the forefront. Fatal Frame 2 is the follow-up to a well-known Playstation game, known for its unique atmosphere. This is not a traditional shoot-em-up violence and gore video game and the marketing for this site aimed to reinforce that.
