Description
We recreated a real event that happened in a remote town in the peruvian jungle. There was a medical emergency and the people used their Honda motorcycles to light up a landing strip that didn’t operate at night so that a mother and her newborn child could be flown into another city to receive medical attention.
Execution
We filmed in the jungle for 5 days with the same people that participated in the real event, which were called upon through the main radio station in the region.
The most popular radio host in the jungle announced that the film would be launched on TV throughout the region.
At the same time, we uploaded it to social media to amplify the reach of our message to all of Peru and the rest of the world.
Outcome
We reached over 800 000 views on Facebook during the month of our campaign.
We received thousands of positive comments on social media, including comments from people from the jungle who were very proud of their region.
We turned an event that went unnoticed when it happened into a matter of national interest. The story finally became news in every mayor national outlet.
