Description

Imagine the city of the future, imagine that you are given the raw data of thousands sensor installed through the city to help improving our life habits. Now imagine that it exists.

We were given an access to the data by 50 companies who are working in IOT in Dubai and asked to make use of it. By the time visitors reached our Interactive Video Wall with data we knew everything about their daily habits and were able to give them a new perspective to change the way we live.

Approach was to impress visitors and make data visually simple to consume by high profile individuals, so they can make decision at the government level to make their Smart City infrastructure the reality

Execution

Cisco as a leader in IOT was asked by Dubai Government to build the first smart district in the world. Cisco provides solutions (hardware and software) which allows the connectivity and data gathering on city level through thousands of sensors. Cisco organised IOT World Forum where they decided to showcase they latest development in IOT based on example of Dubai Design District.

Raw data from sensors like parking, temperature, electricity usage (and more) need to be communicated to the visitors from multiple government entities and their IT departments who arrived from over 130 countries. This task was given to us as an agency.

The objective was to impress visitors and to show that the future is here. Position the brand as highly innovative brand and to show through the multiple scenarios how IOT improves lives of their citizens.

When it comes to the Big Data and you have to browse thousands of lines and analyse all of them to make sense of it, it is not an easy task making it visually simple to consume and analyse and understand.

The idea was to make every person part of this installation by letting them browse the data about themselves. It became possible by bringing the touch technology, Microsoft Kinect and thousand of sensors.

We were collecting data about the person during their stay at the expo using iBeacon Technology, we were connected to the multiple sensors to see the behaviour of people who are staying in the office , we were bringing their social activity to make it more personal.

As a result we have created the environment of the future for every visitor. Experiencing robot promoters and browsing data themselves and feeling they are part of the future.
