Description

To really attract fisherman’s interest we created a fishing flyer that actually helps them fish. Every word and picture was printed with fish food and the paper was biodegradable so it could be thrown in the water to attract more fish.

Execution

We used a biodegradable and environmentally friendly paper that dissolve in water immediately to effectively disperse the fish food.

We used a refined fish food formula that had a viscosity similar to oil and experimented with adding different amounts to ink through an industrial printer.

Just a little bit was enough to attract fish – we tested different concentrations on gold fish. They key was adding just enough without ruining the consistency of the ink.

Each flyer had perforated segments that you could tear off and throw in the water so they would dissolve and disperse the fish food.

Of course the flyers were printed with all the details about the fishing competition itself and highlighted that it was for a very good cause.

Outcome

The Red Cross Fishing Competition had more attendees than any other year.

The Fishing Flyer helped them attract enough fishermen to raise 21 thousand dollars for children in need in just eight hours.
