Description

There are more than 250.000 lonely Danes. At the same time there are more than 500.000 Danes that want to visit the lonely, but who is geographically too far away. Now Interflora let the helpful Danes create a relationship with the lonely Danes through the unique Flower Friend service. Flower Friends are basically pen-pals where you can buy flowers for a lonely Dane and start building a relationship through Interfloras nationwide flower delivery service.

Execution

The execution was started with a live event where we placed 1000 flower bouquets all over the streets of Denmark. On each bouquet was a note encouraging the receiver to give the bouquet to a lonely Dane - and to spread the word of the Flower Friend service. At the same time we released an online video through social media - it described the service so everyone could spread the news.

Outcome

More than 2 million media impressions.

Created a nationwide debate on an invisible problem.

The Red Cross visitor service volunteers was up by 300%

Matched FlowerFriends all over Denmark and started the fight against loneliness.
