The unassuming windows of the apartment building bely the wealth of dreams contained within. In order to create a visual that soars through these emotions like a gust of wind, we considered an approach based on a model we built in conjunction with test flights and our location scouting and used pre-visualization to make a simulation. In order to avoid lights showing up on camera with a 360-degree approach, we avoided bringing lighting equipment, instead opting to use sunlight at the optimal time of day, allowing us to film in the limited amount of time the children in the movie would be able to remain focused. All of this was coordinated frame by frame. By synchronizing the movement and performances of the actors and the camera work, a series of trial and error with a microdrone resulted in a seamless single cut as the final product.
