To demonstrate ANZ’s Freedom account didn't have any of the typical bank fees that customers expect, we decided to bring the idea of 'sneaky fees' to life by creating wasps as fees with the line 'Don't Get Stung'.
By adopting new placements in TVNZ's Ondemand App and by leveraging the unique attributes of tablets and mobiles we were able to bring the wasps to life in an interactive way. Users could literally squash the fees that they dislike to discover how Freedom differs. With thousands of players, we've also generated a click-through rate of .13%, a lift of over 750%.
