Fresh fruit in the fast-food world is a rarity, and that’s why McDonald’s wanted to create a healthy buzz around the introduction of the Fruit & Walnut Salad. The integrated “Get a Fruit Buzz” campaign made people stop and take notice. Leveraging rich media on relevant web properties was a way to engage the audience, showcase product attributes, and create buzz around the news of fresh fruit at McDonald’s.
