Description

GANGURO, an alternative Japanese high school fashion trend back in the 90s.

A unique Japanese fashion culture, which girls believed having dark skin color was a symbol for cuteness.

Although the style has gone out of fashion in the 2000s, there are few girls who still practice GANGURO even today.

MAYO, a Japanese food coordinator, is one of the few.

However, she is stressed about herself starting to neglect her GANGURO-style as her work gets busier.

One day after work, she reveals her worry to her GANGURO friends at a café where GANGURO girls gather.

“Should I take work or keep my GANGURO-style?” MAYO suffers.

Days later, MAYO goes to work without GANGURO-make up. Staffs are surprised with her pale skin. One of the staffs asks her, "So you don’t tan even though you are GANGURO?" MAYO replies to him, "I’m worried about UV rays so I NEVER tan".
