A can with connotations to great Swedish tin craftsmanship and a high quality cardboard box, the aesthetic impression of the General Kardus Selection is something completely new for the category. The packaging design is unique and is bringing a new level of sophistication to the General brand. Each of the 4000 cans and boxes are packaged, sealed and signed by hand. This is a manifestation of the refinement that General stands for.
Outcome
General Kardus Selection 2015 has been a great success for Swedish Match. The limited edition was released in December 2014. It sold out in Norway the first day. The complete batch sold out in less than 2 months. The release gained more press than any other release from Swedish Match has gained before. But first and foremost, General Kardus Selection 2015 has set a new standard for the premium in the category and has defined General as the number one premium snus brand.
