“Our Santa” brings inclusion and representation to the forefront of familiar holiday symbols. The film tells an often untold story about feeling represented and the way a son can recognize his father’s desire to feel seen through a meaningful gift.

In the film, a grandfather joins his son and grandson at a shopping mall. Grandpa glances around and takes note of the White Santa imagery, including one that the family takes a photo with. Christmas morning rolls around and we see them gathered around the Christmas tree. Grandson excitedly hands his grandfather a gift. The grandfather chuckles as he opens it to discover a stocking with the imagery of a Black Santa—a Santa that makes him feel seen and represented.
