We launched a “best-of” CD compilation called Kinky Afro Vol.1 in order to entice lovers of 80s music to listen to the Kinky Afro show. So we used the CD to sell the show, and the show to sell the station.
Outcome
The Kinky Afro Vol.1 CD is completely sold out in stores. The Kinky Afro show is one of the most popular time-slots on Good Hope FM, with a 46 increase in ARs, which means that 350 000 people listen to the show every Friday from 8.30 am till 9.30 am.
