We all share a love of stories. Two unlikely protagonists for a tech entertainment brand, an 80-year-old grandfather and 5-year-old Lulu, remind us of this simple truth. Through these characters South Africa is introduced to the true benefit of Showmax, Africa’s largest subscription video on demand platform (SVOD). Throughout this authentic story, viewers are subtly educated about what SVOD is and that you can watch anywhere at anytime. Showing non-tech-savvy people who may be intimated by the digital world that Showmax is so easy to use even a child and grandpa can use it. It is a simple story of a grandfather who craves to have a relationship with his grandchild who lives far away in the “big city”. We see how a story has the power to connect them.
