Description
Direct communication with a high PR factor.A real Harley was suspended from a cleaning platform and 'floated' slowly up and down along the outside shell of the high-rise Commerzbank Frankfurt HQ. Bank employees, 'trapped' behind glass windows in their fully air-conditioned offices, came surprisingly close to their dreams of freedom and adventure. A banner reading "Break Glass in Emergency" encouraged them directly to make their long-held dreams come true at last.
Outcome
The general public got a good view of the activities at Europe's tallest skyscraper too. Even at a distance of several kilometers, the outside banner reading "Born to be Wild since 1903" (a reference to the Harley-Davidson centenary) was clearly legible.
Media interest in this spectacular event was strong. There was extensive reporting in the daily press (BILD, Frankfurter Neue Presse, Blitztipp etc.) and the nationwide motorcycle magazine BIKER NEWS, and TV coverage on RTL and Hessischer Rundfunk.Mr. Markus K. Neumann, Managing Director of Harley Factory Frankfurt, also praised the event as a "great success".
