Description

Hello bank! is BNP Paribas’ mobile banking solution. To mark its 1st anniversary, Hello bank! wanted to launch a unique initiative and build a new experience to develop its brand preference and awareness, and to engage consumers in an ever more crowded digital banking sector.

Execution

Users can log on the Hello play! platform and connect their music streaming services (Spotify, Last FM, Soundcloud…). They collect coins through their listening activities and then give away their Hello coins to the music projects they like the most on the platform (not only groups or singers, but also makers, start-ups,…). Hello bank! then converts Hello Coins into money to finance the projects.

This permanent service was launched with a series of concerts, a dedicated film on YouTube, a PR campaign and a strong digital media plan, refined thanks to an in-depth study of the target media consumption.

Outcome

31 projects have been fully financed so far. More than 2.7 millions tracks have been listened to through Hello play, enabling users to redistribute more than 715 000 Hello coins.

The different versions of the YouTube video introducing Hello play! cumulated 2.5 million views.

Not to mention that the project has raised the interest and curiosity of many media outlets and blogs who have praised the initiative.
